Each package is different so once you schedule an appointment with me, I will guide you through the next steps.

When can I officially sleep train my child? Is my child too old to sleep train?
Little You works with children ages 4 months to 6 years. We offer a newborn consultation for those who are pregnant or have a child under 3 months and want to get started on setting up a healthy foundation for sleep. Sleep training would not begin until 4 months of age (adjusted for prematurity). There are many pre-schoolers who have never developed healthy sleep habits so it is truly never too late to make a change in your child’s sleep!
How long does sleep training take?
Unfortunately, I cannot say for sure how long it will take. Each family brings a unique situation to the table, every child is different and every sleep plan is different as well. Some other factors that affect the length of time needed are; the level of involvement on the parent’s part and the child’s temperament. Please note that the more a parent is involved in the process in their child falling asleep, the more time that is likely to be needed until the child is fully sleep trained. Above all of this is consistency. With any method we choose, you will notice that consistency is key. If your child knows what to expect from you each and every time, they will get the hang of things easier, making the process go by a lot quicker. If the plan happens to go over the two weeks of support, then you will know exactly what to do going forward and I will definitely check up on you!

Do you guarantee success?
My strategies have proven to work, however, I unfortunately cannot guarantee success. The reason for this is sometimes parents can be inconsistent and may not follow exactly what I am recommending for different reasons. Following my plan and keeping in contact with me will allow me to troubleshoot any issues and support you along the way (depending on the level support needed and according to the package you purchased).
Please note that I cannot grant you a refund after purchase due to the amount of work needed to create the plan for your child. Regardless, please contact me with any concerns in regards to refunds.

Will you make my child cry it out?
Please be aware that when we change anything for a child, it is completely normal that they cry, because this is their only way of communicating. Knowing the cause of the crying and reacting consistently to it is key. With our plans, we have different methods which go from being highly involved with your child during all of this to not being involved at all, so it is completely up to you. All of these methods take time regardless. Whichever method you choose, I want to make sure that you are comfortable and confident to begin the plan so we will definitely choose one that suits your family best as well as your parenting style.
